Age Divisions & Yardages

Frequently Asked Questions

All additional tournament rules will be reviewed with players prior to tee off on the day of the event.

All rulings during Thunderbird events are the sole responsibility of the players. Parents, guardians, or spectators are not permitted to intervene or dispute scores on a player’s behalf.

No. Players are expected to actively participate and complete each hole. Simply taking a max score without playing the hole is not allowed. If you do not actively play and complete the holes, you will be marked as DQ (Disqualified) on the tee sheet, points, and score pages.

Players must report directly to the scoring area after completing their final hole. Failure to do so may result in disqualification (DQ).

  • Players must sign and attest their scorecards.
  • Unsigned or unverified cards will result in disqualification.
  • All scorecards must be turned in immediately following the round.

Slow play disrupts the game. Thunderbird events enforce the following policy:

  • First Offense: Warning
  • Second Offense: Two-stroke penalty
  • Continued Violations: Additional penalties at the discretion of tournament officials
Event officials may adjust based on tournament conditions. Players will move up divisions once they have a birthday that qualifies them for the next group. Players may play up a division but not down. Points earned in an age division will stay in that division and do not carry over.

  •  All caddies must support timely play and respect pace-of-play rules.
  • If a caddie, including a parent, causes slow play, a two-stroke penalty may be assessed to their player.

  • Conduct unbecoming of a caddie/player/spectator—such as disrespectful behavior, unsportsmanlike conduct, or violation of event policies—may result in disciplinary action. This includes the potential to be blacklisted from future registrations and participation in our events.

Please Note: We reserve the right to refuse service or deny registration to any player/caddie/ spectator whose behavior is deemed inappropriate or disruptive, at our sole discretion.
